In the News | Food, Fridges and Politics

Inside a fridge

Did you catch the article last week in the New York Times about the contents of fridges and whether it correlates to political leanings? Such a nutritionist geek kind of article.

I admit that I did very poorly, only 53% correct. (Turns out the average was 53%, so right in there.) What was interesting to me were my assumptions i.e. biases, that were revealed. I decided based on food choice particularly whether there were lots of fresh foods versus prepared/processed food, the quantity of soda and alcohol and the brands selected. Secondly, I judged by how organized, or not, the fridge was.

Try it yourself and see how you do.

Watch out for those biases!!
